School Lunches

We are a nut free school

ALL Infant school children are entitled to a FREE meal at lunchtime at school.

However, if you have previously been entitled to Free School Meals or are on any kind of income support, we ask that you continue to register under the Free School Meals scheme as the school will be able to claim additional funding which is used to benefit those children.  Visit our main reception to complete a short registration form.

Lunch Menus

Menus are available on this page and at the school office. Please take some time each week to help your child choose what they would like for lunch each day. This will help ensure that children have chosen lunches that they will enjoy.

How does my child choose what to eat?

Children choose their lunch option during morning registration.

Menus are available on this page and at the school office. Please take some time each week to help your child choose what they would like for lunch each day. This will help ensure that children have chosen lunches that they will enjoy.

How will my child get their lunch?

The class teacher or a member of the lunchtime staff will walk the class to lunch in the main hall.  All children have access to water.

What is the school doing to help keep my child safe at lunchtime?

  • All children wash their hands before lunch.
  • Individual classes sit together in the hall.
  • Equipment is split between year groups and children are shown how to use it.
  • All lunchtime staff wear PPE.

What can parents do to help?

Read the menu with your child for the next day so they know what they would like to eat. Remind them in the morning before coming to school. Talk about the food and how it is healthy for the child.

Can my child have a packed lunch?

We encourage all children to take up the offer of a FREE lunchtime meal provided by the school.

If, however, your child requires a packed lunch it must not include:

  • Sweets
  • Nuts including chocolate spread
  • Limited crisps during the week
  • Juice.
